MedicalCardsMA skips all of that: your evaluation happens by phone, so there’s no office to find in the Back Bay, the Seaport, or anywhere else in the city.
A statewide telemedicine service, available to Boston residents
To be clear up front: MedicalCardsMA doesn’t have a physical office in Boston. It’s a telemedicine certification service available to patients anywhere in Massachusetts, including every Boston neighborhood — Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, Roxbury, Allston, South Boston, and the rest. The visit itself takes place over the phone, at a time you schedule, rather than in a waiting room.
What the evaluation involves
You’ll complete a secure intake form covering your medical history, current conditions, and cannabis experience, then meet with a physician or nurse practitioner by phone. Cost
$50 flat, for a new certification or a renewal, with the Commonwealth itself charging nothing to register — see the full cost breakdown. Appointments run Monday through Sunday, 12 PM to 5 PM, for patients 18 and older.
